===== CATH Version 3.1 =====

**Based on PDB release: 14 Jan, 2007**


We spent a great deal of effort identifying and correcting errors such as incorrectly chopped chains and misassigned domains. This meant that a number of homologous superfamilies (and folds) were merged with other nodes or removed as CATH domains were rechopped or reassigned.

Changes since v3.0:

  * 7,734 newly assigned domains
  * 47 homologous superfamilies were merged or removed
  * 26 folds (topologies) were merged or removed
